New Blog!

April 30, 2011 at 7:32 pm (Uncategorized)

I have a new blog now. I will probably post more on the second one than this one because this talks about my past experience which all in all did not go well. The new blog is my present and future. Hopefully it will turn out a bit better than the last. I will most likely still post on this one but it will be about the experiences with this last publisher and my old book, as my experience with them is still not over and the book is still around (for now). I plan to redo my first book and make some changes and republish it with a new, and hopefully better, publisher. I have someone looking at it right now. If they decide to publish it then it will be great because the owner of this publisher is a fellow author and someone I can call friend. If not there are many other publishers that my other author friends have suggested for me to look into. There is a light at the end of this tunnel. 🙂 With these friends at my back I know I can do better. They will help me to decide what to do and I can get wonderful advice from the more experienced and successful authors in that group.

My new blog is at: feel free to come by and check out the new and improved site and experiences. 🙂 See you there.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!!

March 17, 2011 at 8:00 pm (Uncategorized)

This is the perfect day for my book to be advertised. I’m hoping people will be looking for Celtic books today and find mine. I’ve been working on the second book for the past two days and will be for a little bit today. It’s going really well. I hope I can keep going at least a little bit everyday so that it won’t take as long as the first one to get finished. Just wanted to give a small update and wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! I’m wearing my green ‘made in Ireland’ t-shirt so no pinches for me. 😉 Have a wonderful day. More will be posted later.

Progress Report

March 9, 2011 at 10:43 pm (Uncategorized)

I apologize for not being on here for a while. I’ve been so busy with school that I haven’t really had time to work on anything else. I had to start working again too because my loans for school lost their deferrment because I don’t have enough hours. It’ll pick back up when I student teach though. Also I have the summer off so I will be able to work on my second book all summer even on the days that I work because I will have time before I work on most days and before and after on the days that I work second shift.  It will probably be slow when I work second shift so I will be able to write at work as well on those days. I will give more reports here on my blog when I have been able to work on the book more. It will most likely be the middle or end of April to the beginning of May before I get back started on the book and the blog. But keep checking in and I will have new info on here soon. 😀

Second Book Progress

January 19, 2011 at 6:46 pm (Uncategorized)

My Muse and I spoke a lot last night about the second book and made some progress on the details. I had an idea of what I wanted in a scene and my Muse helped me to perfect the details. We were going to end our discussion at nine last night so that we could both get to bed early, but the discussion ended up going on until about eleven. lol That seems to be our way. Once we’re in the conversation we lose track of time and by the time we’re finished we’ve traveled along through nearly the whole book thinking up scenes and new twists to make the book even more exciting. I’m so thankful to have a Muse to help me to make my book the best that it can be. It’s really very creepy how things work out when we get to talking about the book. We talk about different ideas and when I do the research to see how to work it in online it always seems perfect. Spoiler Alert: I’m going to talk about one such experience while talking about the second book. We looked at an atlas to see how far Egypt was from Ireland per the first book and then went the opposite direction the same distance for the second book and it put us squarely in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. We had an idea about the lost city of Atlantis. We are also going to be going to the Amazon’s at some point and we found that where we wanted to be along the Amazon river is almost straight south of the spot in the Atlantic. Also, the spot on the Amazon’s is directly on the Equator and the spot in the Atlantic is directly on the Tropic of Cancer. My Muse also mention something about the Bermuda Triangle. We had talked about going straight East to the United States which would place us at the islands between North and South America and low and behold that took us exactly into to the Bermuda Triangle. Therefore every idea we had worked one right into the other. It is creepy but also very amazing. There were other events in the second book that dawned on us that made more sense and worked into the story so much more effeciently than would could ever have thought.

That’s all the spoilers and info for today. Now for the writing process of the ideas and bringing the book together. More will follow as the story comes together.

Second Book Look

January 17, 2011 at 10:03 pm (Uncategorized)

The writing on the second book is still slow going, but it’s due to the fact of not having time.  I have, however, introduced a new character into the mix. Her name is Morgan and she is the new mother for Kallisto. The other mother, Hope, from the first book has passed so this is the one who took Kallisto in. If you notice I haven’t said anything about Kalan, it’s because he isn’t there. It’s another little twist for the second book. Another little twist is that Morgan doesn’t know anything about the curse so she cannot be the one to help it get started, but another little twist, which I can’t mention at this time, causes the cursed ones to come to light on their own.  That’s all I have for the moment for you, but keep in touch there will be more on the subject posted as it is written.

First Book Info

January 17, 2011 at 9:57 pm (Uncategorized)

I am excited to report that my book is now located in 29 places. Most of them are online, but some include stores. My book can now be bought everywhere in the US, Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and now Japan. It is going worldwide. 🙂 I know that not many people are going to buy a book from an unknown author for the price that the publisher is asking for so I don’t really have high hopes to make a lot of money, but at least it’s out there and people can look at it and buy it if they wish. Being bought or not, having my book out there is still an awesome experience. Maybe once my contract is up I can find a way to get it published again for a smaller price. I’m still working on the second book and I hope with it I can find something better for the readers so that it will have a better chance of being bought. My apologies to all those readers out there who might be interested but cannot or will not buy because of the price. I’m looking into other avenues at the moment, but it will be tied up for at least two years with the current publisher.  To find the best price for my book or to just see where it can be located you can go to and type in Celtic Rose in the search. This will show the different places my book is located and the prices at those places. Thank you for your interest and have a wonderful day. 😀

Second Book Process

December 23, 2010 at 8:50 pm (Uncategorized)

The writing of the second book has been slow and tedious. I having a good attention grabbing start but with the holidays and everything that has been going on in my life I haven’t gotten much more done than that. I know the exact events that need to be there but I can’t seem to get the details in between. It seems I need another visit with my Muse. 🙂 Hopefully after that the writing will go a little quicker than it has been. It may have to be after the holidays though because both of us, me and my Muse, are very busy this holiday season. It’s hard on the Muse when he is also very busy with life, work, friends, family, and being a Muse to others. We joke that he is Iron Man without all the gadgets. 😉 Poor Muse. Life is not easy for a real life super hero. That’s why he is such a good inspiration for my character, Gabriel.  Hopefully after the holidays I will have more news to report on the second book. Til then, Fare Thee Well.

Book on Amazon

December 23, 2010 at 8:41 pm (Uncategorized)

My book is now available on  Here is the link.

It is a slow going process but my book is becoming available at other places now. Soon hopefully it will be on bookstore shelves. The publisher has requested email addresses for the local media in my area and they are going to be sending press releases to them all. Hopefully I will be getting more exposure soon. The more people who know about my book the better. I can’t wait for it to start selling, but I need the exposure first. Several of my friends, teachers, family, and church family have said they were going to buy it so I’m waiting for that. I’m also still waiting for my complimentary copy to come in. I was hoping it would be here before the holidays but it looks like it won’t be here until after the new year. Oh well. I’m a patient person so I’ll just be a good girl, sit here, and wait. 🙂

Book is on the Market!

December 6, 2010 at 8:52 pm (Uncategorized)

I am excited to say that my book is on the market at this very moment. I’m nervous and excited all at once. I’m not sure what to do next. I have a bunch of questions sent to the publisher on how to proceed right now. Just waiting for the advice to come through. This is a historic moment for me and I have to thank God for it. Without him I would never have come this far. If anyone want to buy it they can go to Publish America and search under fiction for Celtic Rose. Or I have the link –

This will take you directly to my book. Now I have to find out what to do next to do the marketing for my book. There will be regular posting about any steps taken from this moment.

Publishing Moving Along

December 3, 2010 at 3:01 pm (Uncategorized)

I received my cover design and my book form text yesterday. They are looking great! Seeing how my book is going to look when it is published is making this whole experience more real. The cover looks beautiful, it has Celtic designs behind the title and my name. It’s not exactly what I expected but it looks great none the less. It is also blue, my favorite color. 🙂 My friend thought it should be green because of it being Celtic but I think for my first book I like the fact that it’s my favorite color. I have until December 6th to look through the text for any publisher errors. I found a few spacing problems so far but nothing too bad. I really like it so I may send in about the spacing and once that’s fixed it will move to the production line and as soon as it’s made It will move to marketing and I will get an email that it’s on the market to be sold. During the waiting it seemed to take forever, but this has been a lot quicker than I could have ever imagined. I’m so happy right now. Hopefully it will come out and sell rapidly, that would be more than I could hope for. At least I know it will sell fairly well locally because I will be doing some of my own marketing around here. I can’t wait to get started! 😀
