Second Book Process

December 23, 2010 at 8:50 pm (Uncategorized)

The writing of the second book has been slow and tedious. I having a good attention grabbing start but with the holidays and everything that has been going on in my life I haven’t gotten much more done than that. I know the exact events that need to be there but I can’t seem to get the details in between. It seems I need another visit with my Muse. 🙂 Hopefully after that the writing will go a little quicker than it has been. It may have to be after the holidays though because both of us, me and my Muse, are very busy this holiday season. It’s hard on the Muse when he is also very busy with life, work, friends, family, and being a Muse to others. We joke that he is Iron Man without all the gadgets. 😉 Poor Muse. Life is not easy for a real life super hero. That’s why he is such a good inspiration for my character, Gabriel.  Hopefully after the holidays I will have more news to report on the second book. Til then, Fare Thee Well.

Book on Amazon

December 23, 2010 at 8:41 pm (Uncategorized)

My book is now available on Amazon.com.  Here is the link. http://www.amazon.com/Celtic-Rose-Jill-Ranney-Campbell/dp/1456029622/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1293136503&sr=1-1

It is a slow going process but my book is becoming available at other places now. Soon hopefully it will be on bookstore shelves. The publisher has requested email addresses for the local media in my area and they are going to be sending press releases to them all. Hopefully I will be getting more exposure soon. The more people who know about my book the better. I can’t wait for it to start selling, but I need the exposure first. Several of my friends, teachers, family, and church family have said they were going to buy it so I’m waiting for that. I’m also still waiting for my complimentary copy to come in. I was hoping it would be here before the holidays but it looks like it won’t be here until after the new year. Oh well. I’m a patient person so I’ll just be a good girl, sit here, and wait. 🙂

Book is on the Market!

December 6, 2010 at 8:52 pm (Uncategorized)

I am excited to say that my book is on the market at this very moment. I’m nervous and excited all at once. I’m not sure what to do next. I have a bunch of questions sent to the publisher on how to proceed right now. Just waiting for the advice to come through. This is a historic moment for me and I have to thank God for it. Without him I would never have come this far. If anyone want to buy it they can go to Publish America and search under fiction for Celtic Rose. Or I have the link –http://www.publishamerica.net/product37744.html

This will take you directly to my book. Now I have to find out what to do next to do the marketing for my book. There will be regular posting about any steps taken from this moment.

Publishing Moving Along

December 3, 2010 at 3:01 pm (Uncategorized)

I received my cover design and my book form text yesterday. They are looking great! Seeing how my book is going to look when it is published is making this whole experience more real. The cover looks beautiful, it has Celtic designs behind the title and my name. It’s not exactly what I expected but it looks great none the less. It is also blue, my favorite color. 🙂 My friend thought it should be green because of it being Celtic but I think for my first book I like the fact that it’s my favorite color. I have until December 6th to look through the text for any publisher errors. I found a few spacing problems so far but nothing too bad. I really like it so I may send in about the spacing and once that’s fixed it will move to the production line and as soon as it’s made It will move to marketing and I will get an email that it’s on the market to be sold. During the waiting it seemed to take forever, but this has been a lot quicker than I could have ever imagined. I’m so happy right now. Hopefully it will come out and sell rapidly, that would be more than I could hope for. At least I know it will sell fairly well locally because I will be doing some of my own marketing around here. I can’t wait to get started! 😀
